MUSEUMS & PERMANENT COLLECTIONS

London Art Tours provides below one of the most exhaustive lists of London's museums and collections available anywhere. Every non-commercial gallery, museum collection, and historic building in the Greater London area should be found here.

We have excluded most commercial art galleries, places of worship (where there is no admission fee) and buildings which are not normally open to the public.

TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS are listed elsewhere on our site.

For commercial gallery listings we invite you to visit: www.artefact.co.uk.

Opening times are subject to change and are likely to vary for public holidays. Please allow plenty of time for your visit and bear in mind that access to the smaller museums may be restricted. The 24-hour clock is used, so 17:30 is 5.30pm.

The nearest tube stations are shown. Where there are none nearby we suggest the nearest rail (overground railway) or DLR (Docklands Light Railway). Outside Central London please be aware that these stations may be some distance from the venue.

Admission prices are for adults (concessions in parentheses) but there are likely to be other rates for children and for groups.

Every effort is made to keep this information up to date but we do urge you to check in advance directly with the collection that you intend to visit.
